“A New Way of Doing Church”
New Hope has existed for almost 38 years, and even today, we still strive to fulfill our mission of “Healing Hurts and Building Dreams.” We follow a "hybrid" approach to church, which means we can connect with people wherever they are, at any time, and in any situation. Our church is constantly evolving to provide a new way of doing church. New Hope continues to grow in our mission to “Heal Hurts and Build Dreams.”
Our “hybrid” approach to church allows our ministry to connect with people anywhere, at any time, and in any situation.
Welcome to New Hope Christian Fellowship
We are thrilled to have you here on this special day the Lord has made. Our mission is to help believers become all God wants them to be. Our church was founded in 1987 by Pastor Del, who had a dream and a vision after attending a Church Growth Seminar at New Hope Community Church in Portland, Oregon. Thanks to our devoted members, we have fulfilled our mission of "Healing Hurts and Building Dreams."
At New Hope, we believe everyone is valuable in God's eyes. We want to help you achieve the abundant life that Jesus spoke about. We invite you to join us on this faith journey and hope you will find everything you need to grow and mature in your relationship with God.
Let us pray together and discover our Heavenly Father's boundless love and grace on this day that the Lord has made.
“Dream A New Dream”

“Dream A New Dream” has always been the mantra of New Hope.
In 1987, Pastor Del decided to leave the denomination he had been a part of for most of his life. He felt that the denomination had a traditional approach that failed to meet its members' spiritual needs and didn't emphasize outreach to the unchurched. Pastor Del was disappointed and disillusioned. However, his outlook changed when he attended a Church Growth Seminar hosted at New Hope Community Church in Portland, Oregon. At that time, New Hope was considered a "mega-church" with five to six thousand attendees every weekend.
After hearing Del's story, the Senior Pastor of New Hope, Dale Galloway, said what you need to do: “Dream and New Dream.” Start a New Church, and our church will be your resource.
At New Hope, What We Believe
At New Hope, we believe in a God larger and closer to us than we can understand. We believe the Bible is a perfect guidebook for living, given to us by God, and that Jesus is how God shows Himself to us. Through the Holy Spirit, God lives within and through us, and we believe that nothing in creation is by chance; it is all made by God.
We believe that grace is the only way to establish a relationship with God and that faith is how we foster growth in our relationship with Him. Although God has allowed evil to exist to provide us with a choice, we trust He can bring good even out of the worst situations and promises victory over evil to those who choose Him.
Heaven and hell are real places, and death is merely the beginning. Our church's primary purpose is to serve people, just as Jesus did. We invite you to join us in our belief and experience the joy and hope of a relationship with God.
New Hope's Mission Statement

A Changed Life. Our Measure of Success!

A Reason, Season, Lifetime (Poem)
People always come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. When you figure out which it is, you know exactly what to do.
A Reason
When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed outwardly or inwardly.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty, provide you with guidance and support, and aid you physically, emotionally, or even spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend to you, and they are. They are there for a reason; you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die, Sometimes they just walk away. Sometimes they act up or out and force you to take a stand. We must realize that our needs have been met, our desires have been fulfilled, and their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered, and it is now time to move on.
A Season
When people come into your life for a SEASON, it is because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn.
They may bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But only for a season. And like Spring turns to Summer and Summer to Fall, the season eventually ends.
A Lifetime
LIFETIME, relationships teach you a lifetime of lessons; those things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person/people (anyway), and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas in your life.
It is said that love is blind, but friendship is clairvoyant. Thank you for being part of my life...
The poem "A Reason, A Season, A Lifetime" is about the different types of people who come into our lives and the purpose they serve. The poem suggests that some people come for a reason: to help you through a difficulty or to teach you something. Some people come for a season to share, grow, or learn with you. And some people come for a lifetime to be your partner or friend. The poem encourages you to appreciate and accept each person for their role in your life.
New Hope is not a massive church with a fancy building. However, we have always understood that our purpose, given by God, is to fulfill our central mission of "Healing Hurts and Building Dreams." We are here to serve people; sometimes, that service is only for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.
