H.O.M.E. Groups
New Hope Olympia has a Small-Group Ministry that we call HOME Groups. The acronym H.O.M.E. stands for Homes of Ministry and Encouragement. These groups are where you can grow in Community with God and others, using the unique gifts the Lord has given you to build up the church. HOME groups are for everyone, regardless of age or state of life; each contributes to the group.

Connect Groups
Many churches refer to their Small Groups as Connect Groups. We all have an inherent need for community in our lives. In the book of Genesis, God spoke about Adam's need for a companion to walk and help him. If we take a moment to evaluate our lives, we'll realize that we can't do everything independently and need assistance. Connect Groups do not replace our relationship with God but help us grow to be more like Jesus. Connect Groups are 8-12 people who meet weekly to share their lives. These groups aim to establish Christ-centered relationships that inspire, motivate, and direct our lives toward a deeper connection with Jesus.
Although each HOME may have a different rhythm, you can expect a place to process and practice what is preached in the weekly worship services, fellowship, community prayer, and living on a mission with your group. Some people have described the HOME group experience as a space to share life’s challenges and joys, receive support and encouragement from group leaders and members, and continually strengthen their walks with the Lord.
Communication without Connection is Ineffective.
Our Hybrid Church ministry at New Hope Olympia is dedicated to sharing God's love and establishing a deep connection with people.
As Shawn Manaher, the founder and CEO of the Content Authority, explains, Communication and Connection are often confused. Communication entails exchanging information, while Connection involves fostering a relationship that generates a sense of belonging.
The Connection of HOME Groups
The glue that holds the Hybrid Church model together is the connection of HOME Groups. While online worship, podcasts, and other technologies are the visible framework of the model.
If you’re interested in finding a community, we encourage you to attend a New Hope Olympia HOME Group. Please get in touch with us for more information.
